Finally made it to the point where the game starts opening up a little bit, gaining access to the strangely addicting town building mini-game (which will in short order fill my coffers with more money than I know what to do with). There is a lot to do in this game, and unlike the original, it does not lack for variety, although I plan to mostly stick to the story on this play through partially because I want to get through the other 2 Assassin's Creed games that I've yet to play, and partially because I did a lot of the sidequests last time I played ACII a couple of years ago on the XBox (although I never finished that playthrough).

There's how many people playing this game and nobody ever mentioned there's city building in it?
@EclecticKnight To be honest, it's very basic: you just basically get a list of buildings and can pay to build/ improve them, which in turn raises the income of the town, and the money you receive. It actually reminds me a lot of Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, where you could buy up property and then receive regular income from them. It's not a major part of the game, but it's fun seeing the town change and then receiving more money than you can spend.
