Didn't play for that long, but I did have the opportunity to play through one very cool mission. For the first time in the game, I was encouraged to take the sneaky route: up to this point, I primarily used stealth to land critical hits in combat and a little bit of scouting. This time, I was contacted by a thieves guild who hired me to steal a selection of expensive items from a mansion in Baldur's Gate. I could have run in and killed everyone, carving my way to the treasure; the game certainly allows for that, but in the true spirit of the quest, I decided to go totally silent: not alerting a soul burglarizing the house. Even though the stealth was as simple as taking a few potions to up my stats and making sure no one was around when I opened containers, I still loved the change of pace and had a lot of fun making my thief feel like one for the first time in the game.
