Finished the somewhat short adventure game today. The ending was just ok, but overall, I think that the journey was worth taking. The visuals are very nice 2d sprite art with beautifully rendered backgrounds and some amazing animation, The story is pretty decent, with enough mystery to keep you interested and a cool setting, although the payoff is not as good as I had hoped. Beneath a Steel Sky also features some truly memorable characters, the best of who is Joey, your robotic companion who, despite being a little bit annoying at first, has a bunch of genuinely funny lines and has more than a couple of really great moments. As I've said before, it's not revolutionary, but I think that it is worth playing for fans of adventure games.
