Today, Noveria was the order of the hour, and I made my way through the entirety of the long mission. I like how video games, due to their format, can not only tell grand epics, but also focus in on the story-within-a-story, the side plot that would never get enough attention if it was in a movie, but because of the medium's general lack of time constraints, these can be fleshed out and fully develop. Going back to Noveria, the story on just this one planet could have easily filled the time of a decent sci-fi thriller movie: mystery, corruption, ancient horrors and people driven to the brink of insanity. This is something that Bioware does particularly well and an important aspect of why their games are so memorable.
