Went straight into MGS 2 after completing the first one, this time as part of the Metal Gear Solid HD collection, meaning that I can now play the entire "Metal Gear saga," from the 1987 original all the way to 2010's Peace Walker on the same system, which is pretty cool if you ask me. What's really astonishing to me is just how much detail is packed into the games in this series. I already talked about some of the fine details included in MGS 1, and its sequel is no different. I was showing a few of the details off to some friends during the tanker mission and it really is incredible that you can shoot every individual bottle in the bar, that the mess hall is stocked with pots and pans and dishes and that Snake leaves wet footprints when he comes inside from the wet decks. It's even more impressive considering that Metal Gear Solid 2 is 11 years old.
