Started playing today. This is probably the most technically demanding game available at the moment, and it certainly feels that way. I found myself having flashbacks to Crysis (up until my newest video card, a Radeon HD 6950 purchased about a week ago). I can mostly run the game fine at almost max settings (advanced Depth of Field and 4XMSAA kill my performance). However, the game's performance is killed by large explosions that throw a lot of dust into the air. I still need to do some more optimization before the game will be fully playable. As far as the actual game goes, it has a few cool concepts, like using Military-grade bullets as currency and having to pump your flashlight to keep the batteries charged that give the feeling that you really are just scavenging for anything that will help protect you in this world. It reminds me somewhat of STALKER in its combination of RPG and FPS elements, but the game has less free-roaming, at least as far as I've gotten, it is.
