Making my way through the game at a disturbingly rapid pace, an unfortunate side effect of the game's linear level design. There may be 3 star coins in every level, but unlike the stars in normal 3D Mario games, these can all be gathered in a single trip through the level. On top of this, the levels are all quite short, in true 2D style, so most can be finished within 5 minutes. Even with levels extending beyond World 8, I have concerns that 3D Land's content will dry up fairly quickly. The only solution would be an old-school kick in the pants to the difficulty. A difficulty spike would certainly prolong the experience and help me use up a few of these 100+ lives that I've gathered.
