I was hoping that the higher difficulty of the bonus worlds would extend the play long enough to make it to my vacation starting in a couple weeks (which is the main reason I got my 3DS now instead of waiting for this fall when the games that I'm really looking forward to are coming out), but all it has done is made me want to play even more than before, and threaten to finish up this second set of stages even faster than the original, easier group. I made it all the way to world 6, encountering more open levels than what was found in the original, more cleverly hidden star coins, and a proper haunted house stage, complete with maze-like level design. There are also races against the clock, and stages where you have to avoid a poisonous doppelganger on your way to the goal. It's more challenging and more fun than the first half of the game by far.
