Finished the game and on the way played through the two most frustrating portions of the game: the first proper fight against the Beast-men and the final boss. The Beast-man fight is a pain in the ass, since it takes an unreasonable amount of ammunition from the provided weapons to take even one down of the two enemies that attack you. I think what frustrates me the most is that it never seems to be as difficult to kill these enemies ever again, so it's kind of annoying pumping 100 rounds into one enemy only to get killed and later being able to kill them (with a different weapon) in only 2 hits. The last boss has already been covered in my previous posts on the game, but suffice it to say that he has way too much health and the battle lasts far too long for there not to be any checkpoints. Still, it is a fantastic game, but there are a couple of areas where the developer could have improved the experience. Hopefully, Naughty Dog will work on resolving these small issues for the upcoming sequel while maintaining the pacing, overall balance, and excitement that made this one so great.
