Viqor played Yakuza 2

Continued my playthrough. I love the pacing of this game’s story. It’s not a mile-a-minute excite-fest like the beginning of Mass Effect 2 (which was admittedly awesome), but it doesn’t drag; it gives you enough backstory to get you into the action, but it doesn’t overload you with details unless you want them (via optional flashbacks to the first game). As the story continues, it slowly gathers speed, culminating in a fevered-pitch later in the game. At the point that I am at, a few hours in, the story is moving along at a fairly slow pace: not a crawl, mind you, but more akin to a walk, but speeding up with every event.
